Skylanders SWAP Force Starter Pack - Wii Game

Embark on an exciting new adventure with the Skylanders and the SWAP Force. For generations, the SWAP Force protected the volcano that replenishes Skylands’ magic. That is until an epic battle caught them in an eruption that blasted them apart, sent them to Earth and gave them the ability swap powers. Only you can mix and match their tops and bottoms, put them on the new Portal of Power and help save Skylands.

Starter Kit Includes

  • Skylanders SWAP video game
  • Portal of Power (new version)
  • 3 Skylanders Figures
  • Character collector poster
  • 3 Sticker sheets with secret codes

Skylander Swap Force November 3, 2013

The game itself is fun for my 8 year old. But it all of a sudden started freezing on the Wii and the only way to get it to respond is to unplug it. I looked on some forums and they had a couple of suggestion. 1) restart the router 2) reboot the internet on the Wii. I did both and so far we are good but we've only played it 2 times since the reboot. Guess we'll see...

7 year old loves it October 28, 2013

My seven year old begged for this for weeks leading up to its release. On the release day, we got it early in the morning and he has been playing non-stop ever sense. Loves the ability to swap and combine the figures. From what I have seen, they took everything from the first two games that was great, added a handful of cool new features and side missions, and the result is a nice progression that feels familiar, but doesn't just feel like more of the same. One note about the Wii version though...while in my view they seem to have done a better overall job with the graphics, my son has commented several times that is more cartoony (still awesome, but cartoony).

Swap Force is a hit October 22, 2013

I loved the concept of the original Skylanders, even when people were all over internet message boards decrying what Activision had done to Spyro the Dragon. When the game came out, it turned out to be an exceptionally well done button masher with a clever little gimmick to convince gamers of all age to purchase figures for it. I ended up purchasing at least one of each figure type and the entire Undead set. Then came Skylanders Giants. It was more of the same, but now with a few new figures and larger figures. I enjoyed Giants, but not as much and I didn't feel the need to purchase figures from the Giants line except Flashwing and Fright Rider.
